Yes, on the page. After converting, the Layers panel lists every traced colour with a swatch and a point count; untick one and it is gone from the preview and from the download. A background traced from the image is detected and flagged, so the usual first click is removing that. Nothing is re-traced and nothing is re-uploaded — the edit happens in your browser.
Yes. The output is plain <path> elements with no scripts, embedded fonts or external references — a cut file that Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio and similar machines accept as an upload. Use the Logo preset and a low colour count: fewer colours means fewer cut layers.
Yes. Transparent pixels are not traced, so a logo on a transparent PNG comes back as shapes on nothing — no white box behind it. Only the parts of your image that carry colour become paths.
An SVG is code, so it can in principle carry scripts. Every file this tool produces is sanitised before you download it: script and foreignObject elements, inline event handlers, and any href or url() pointing off-site are stripped. What you get back is geometry and colour, nothing executable.
No. An SVG stores shapes as coordinates rather than pixels, so it redraws at whatever size you display it — favicon to billboard — with no blur or stair-stepping. The only fidelity loss happens once, when the original image is traced.
Scalable Vector Graphics. It is an open XML format for describing artwork as paths, shapes and text instead of a grid of pixels, and every modern browser renders it natively.
Any browser will display one — drag it into a tab. To edit, use Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape or Affinity Designer. Photoshop can open an SVG but rasterises it back to pixels on import, which throws away the scalability you just gained.
Logos, icons, line art and flat illustrations — anything built from distinct areas of colour. Photographs and heavily textured images can be traced, but the result is a stylised, poster-like interpretation rather than a faithful copy.
Yes, for artwork that is already vector-shaped. Printers can output an SVG at any size without a DPI setting to get wrong, which is why logos are supplied as vectors. For photographs, a high-resolution raster file remains the better choice.
